To see the light within...

In our garden, the hollyhocks are loving the summer light. Many continue to bloom and grow above the garden wall. I love this! On so many levels. Can we grow above the garden wall? Leave where we are confined? Look somewhere new? Share beauty outside of our comfort zone?

Several hollyhocks are making seeds. I am truly amazed at how many seeds one hollyhock flower makes and that within one tiny seed is the inspiration for such incredible beauty.

I held a hollyhock seed in my hand today. I turned it over and over. “What’s in you?” I thought. “Wow! So much beauty!”

I ask myself, can I sit and offer myself the same wonder? To say, “What’s in you? Wow! So much beauty!”

It seems wild to write. Kind of like a hollyhock.
