Gold in a friend who...
Today I am thinking about how sweet it is to be able to share life’s losses and disappointments with someone.
There is a tenderness in being able to open up and try to tell a story. Often when there is grief it’s because there was a lot of love.
The irony is that it requires trust to talk about something where trust was broken. The solution is in trusting again and eventually loving again.
When I draw MissyAnn and Butter talking and Butter is crying while sharing, I feel an incredible sense of gratitude for the friendship they share.
I believe the true gold in life is how we give thanks ~ for the blessings in our lives.
I want to remind myself to be more conscious of listening better when someone I love is in need of my presence.
And today I’m thinking of the few people and pets that truly hold space for my joys and sorrows. I invite myself and you to feel gratitude for someone who has held a space of kindness.
I also invite myself and you to hold gratitude for the kindness we offered to someone when they were in need and we held space for them.
May we weave lives of kindness, presence and love.
Peace, Kat~
